Who we are

Homadic is a family café in Caldas da Rainha, Portugal, and the controller for the data described here. You can reach us anytime at info@homadic.com or at Rua Carlos Neves 25 A, 2500-915 Caldas da Rainha, Portugal.

Visit statistics (only with your consent)

If you accept the cookie banner, we set one small first-party cookie with a random id so we can count visits, see which pages people read and tell new visitors from returning ones. Those statistics are stored in our own database.

We also use Google Analytics for the same purpose. It sets the cookies listed below and sends Google information about your visit, such as the pages you view, your device and browser, and your approximate location. Google handles that data under its own privacy terms and may process it outside the EU.

We don’t use any of this for advertising, and we never try to work out who you are. If you decline, neither runs and nothing is tracked. You can change your mind anytime via the cookie settings link in the footer.

Messages you send us

When you write to us by email or WhatsApp, for a job, a private event or anything else, we receive what you send: your name, contact details and the message. We use it only to reply and to handle your request. Job application emails are kept for up to a year unless you ask us to delete them sooner.

WhatsApp conversations are handled by WhatsApp (Meta) under their own terms; we only see what you send to our number.

Hosting

The site is hosted by Vercel. Like any host, Vercel keeps short-lived technical logs (including IP addresses) to run and secure the service. We use these only for security and operations.

Map

The visit page embeds a Google Map so you can find the café. That embed is served by Google and follows Google’s own terms.

Cookies and storage we use

Your rights

Under the GDPR you can ask to see, correct, delete or restrict data about you, and object to processing. Withdrawing your analytics consent is as easy as giving it: use the cookie settings link in the footer.

If you are not happy with how we handle your data, you can complain to the Portuguese supervisory authority, the CNPD (cnpd.pt). But do write to us first, we will sort it out.
