A family café in Caldas da Rainha where kids have their own corner.
Homadic was started by a mother of two who needed a place to work with the kids nearby. So the café has a kids corner with toys and books, high chairs, a changing table, a kids menu and, on weekend mornings, a nanny. Two minutes from Colégio Rainha D. Leonor.

What the kids corner is
A corner of the café, not a separate room, so you can see your children from your table while they draw, read or build something. There are toys and books for toddlers and school-age kids, a small desk and little chairs. On weekdays it is not a supervised space: parents stay responsible for their kids. On weekend mornings the nanny takes over the playing.
The weekend nanny
Every Saturday and Sunday morning, from 9:00 to 13:00, a nanny is in the café to play with the kids while you have breakfast. There is nothing to book: come in, order, and let them play. It is the closest thing to a slow weekend breakfast that parents of small children get, and it is the reason many families come back every week.
Before and after school
We are about 220 metres from Colégio Rainha D. Leonor, in the Bairro dos Arneiros, so many of our weekday mornings start right after drop-off: a flat white and a sourdough toast, a laptop open at the next table. After pick-up, the kids menu and the cakes do the rest. Street parking is easy and the entrance has no steps.
Events for families

Is the kids corner supervised?
On weekdays, no: parents stay responsible for their children, who play within sight of the tables. On Saturday and Sunday mornings from 9:00 to 13:00 a nanny is in the café.
Do I need to book the weekend nanny?
No. Come in on a Saturday or Sunday morning, order, and the kids can join the nanny in the kids corner.
Do you have high chairs and a baby changing table?
Yes, both: high chairs at the tables and a changing table in the bathroom.
Can I bring a stroller inside?
Yes. The entrance is step-free and strollers are welcome inside.
Is there a kids menu?
Yes, the Little Homadics menu: a mini ham and cheese toastie, banana bread, mini energy bites and a plain croissant, in small portions. Milk comes whole, oat or lactose-free.
